Tabor netters notch first win of year
After bottoming out in the College of the Ozarks Tournament Sept. 5 and 6 where they finished winless, there was only one direction for the Lady Bluejays to go.
Tabor bounced back from a rough 0-5 start Sept. 10 winning its first conference road game of the season in Leavenworth against St. Mary.
The Bluejays topped the Lady Spires in four matches to improve to 1-5 on the season and 1-0 in the KCAC.
Tabor won the first two sets, 30-27 and 30-17, respectively, before tumbling 22-30 in the third.
But the Bluejays won the fourth and deciding match, 30-24 to top the Spires.
Tabor faces a busy remainder of the week beginning tonight when it hosts Hesston College in junior-varsity action and the varsity taking on Bethany.
The junior varsity begins at 3 and 5 p.m. with the varsity slated for 7 p.m.
On Saturday, the Bluejays host Southwestern in a 4 p.m. start.
