Tabor's Anderson is national player of the week
Donya Anderson, a 5'10" power forward for the sixth-ranked Tabor College Bluejays, has been named the NAIA Division II National Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 31.
In a pair of KCAC victories over McPherson College and Saint Mary University, Anderson averaged a triple-double collecting 10.5 points (9-of-13 from the floor for 69 percent), 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Anderson recorded a season-high six steals against McPherson while dishing out 12 assists in the Bluejay win over Saint Mary.
A three-year starter, two-time first team All-KCAC selection and NAIA All-American, Anderson has been instrumental in the Bluejays' two consecutive KCAC championships as well as back-to-back trips to the NAIA National Tournament at Sioux City, Iowa, and consecutive Sweet-16 appearances.
