Tabor signs student athletes
Four student-athletes have signed letters of intent to participate in Tabor College athletic programs.
Rebekah Mae Lockhart, Mooreland, Okla., has signed a letter of intent to participate on the women's track and field program at Tabor College, according to head coach Dave Kroeker.
Lockhart runs the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and the 800-meter run. She was a three-time state qualifier in the 800-meter from 2001-2003 and regional champion and state qualifier in the 400-meter in 2003.
She is the daughter of Darren and Wendy Lockhart, Mooreland.
Sarah Ann Lyons, Hamilton, Mont., has signed a letter of intent to participate in the women's track and field program at Tabor College, according to head coach Dave Kroeker.
She also signed to the Tabor College women's basketball program.
She is the daughter of Lorri and Ted Lyons, Hamilton.
Phillip Robben, Wichita, has signed a letter of intent to participate in the Tabor College football program, according to head coach Mike Gardner.
Robben, a 5'7" wide receiver, participated on the Maize High School team. Maize ended the season 7-3 and was undefeated in their league.
He is the son of Phil and Sally Seemann, Wichita, and Greg Robben, Clearwater.
Jimmy Shipman, Marion, has signed a letter of intent to participate in the Tabor College football program, according to head football coach Mike Gardner.
Shipman has participated four years and lettered three years in football at Marion High School. He was named second team All-CVL his sophomore and junior years. His senior year he was named first team All-CVL offense and first team All-CVL defense. He also received All-State honorable mention. Shipman also participated in baseball four years and the state power lifting competition three years. He is participating in throwing events for track and field for the first time this year
