Men's soccer coach resigns
Tabor College men's soccer coach Nathan Wilkey has resigned his position as head men's soccer coach.
Wilkey held the position for three years and led his team to conference championships in 2000 and 2002, plus one trip to the NAIA Region IV Tournament in 2002. He was named the 2002-2003 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach-of-the-Year as the Bluejays finished with an 8-0 record in the conference and a 10-6 mark overall.
"Coach Wilkey has been very successful in his work with our men's soccer program," said athletic director Don Brubacher. "The personal and family price he paid, though, to maintain his business in Wichita and travel to Hillsboro to coach just became too high. We are grateful for the sacrifice he made to work with our program these three years."
Toews, Previtera earn soccer honors
Midfielder Becca Toews of Houston, Texas, and forward Chrissy Previtera of Wichita, members of the Tabor college women's soccer program, were named to the All-Region IV first team last week.
The Bluejay duo helped Tabor go undefeated in the KCAC with an 8-0 mark in the regular season and a 10-7 record overall.
