Tabor spikers unbeaten in KCAC

n Bluejays post wins over Bethany and Southwestern to run KCAC record to 4-0

Make it four-and-counting for the Bluejay volleyball team.

Tabor endured a progressive week, beating Bethany, Thursday, and Southwestern, Saturday, to up their mark to an unblemished 4-0 in league play and 4-5 overall.

On Saturday, behind 43 assists from the KCAC's premier setter Sara McAllister, the Bluejays made short work of the visiting Moundbuilders with a sweep.

Tabor topped Southwestern in its respective matches, 30-18, 30-24, and 30-19.

Erin Loewen paced the Bluejays in kills with 15, followed by the Kroeker sisters, Angela and Shannon, with 12 and 11, respectively.

The Bluejays also made short work of the Lady Swedes Thursday night in Hillsboro with another sweep.

Tabor snatched control of the matches early and rolled, topping the Swedes, 30-10, 30-15 and 30-13.

Laura Campbell led the team with six blocks and 13 kills while Loewen chipped in 10.

McAllister had 42 assists and Loewen and Angela Kroeker each added a game-high 12 digs.

Tabor faces a pair of tough road tests this week beginning Tuesday when it traveled to Wichita to take on the Kansas-Newman Jets. Results of Tuesday's action were unavailable at press time.

The Bluejays will spend the weekend in Olathe where they will play in the Mid-America Nazarene Tournament.
