Tabor track athletes compete at annual Jayhawk Invitational

A small contingent of athletes for Tabor College participated in the 18th Annual Jayhawk Invitational indoor track meet Friday in Lawrence.

The most notable performance of the day was turned in by Matt Rorabaugh, a junior from Smith Center, in the high jump. His jump of 6' 6" placed him fourth in a strong field that included jumpers from several Big 12 schools. With that jump, he also qualified for the NAIA Indoor National Track Meet in Johnson City, Tenn., in March.

Other Tabor results: Garret Bryant, 60m dash, 7.44 seconds; Jennifer Palmgren, 60m dash, 8.72; Jeff Anenson, 600m run, 1:20.62; Merle Johnson, (unattached), 60m, 7.21.

The next indoor action for Tabor will be at the Prairie Wolf Invitational in Lincoln, Neb., on Friday.
