Tabor track teams compete at Friends

Tabor College men's and women's track teams competed Saturday in the Friends Invitational Track and Field Meet at Wichita.

Ashley Scherrer won the high jump with a jump of 5'2"; Shelby Miller won the 400m dash (1:01.83); Heidi Schmidt took second in the 1500m; and Angela Jost took second in the 5000m.

In men's competition, Matt Rorabaugh jumped 6'3" to win the men's high jump. Trent Voth took first in 110m hurdles and set a new Tabor record (15.17) while Brian Lightner took second with a time of 15.46. Lightner also finished second in the 400m hurdles. Caleb Marsh placed first in the pole vault with a vault of 13'6".

No team scores were kept.

The track teams will compete at 11 a.m. in the ACCK meet at Bethany.

Tabor to present 'The Drawer Boy'

Tabor College drama department will present "The Drawer Boy" at 7:30 p.m. April 19, 21 through 23 in the Theatre Lab.

Tickets are available in the Student Development Office. Admission is free but tickets are required. Donations will be accepted.
