Tabor women receive KCAC honors
Three Tabor College women's basketball players received KCAC honors March 1 after the final game of the KCAC tournament.
Erica Hemmert, a sophomore from WaKeeney, was voted All-Conference first team by the ten head women's coaches of the KCAC.
The 5'7" guard led the Jays in total points on the season with 434. She averaged 14 points a game and 5.5 rebounds. Hemmert ended the season with 15 blocks and 67 steals.
Named to All-KCAC honorable mention were Rachelle Wertenberger, a senior from Morrill, and Jill Hein, a sophomore from Hillsboro.
Wertenberger, a 5'6" guard, averaged 11 points per game and ended the season with 339 points. She had 61 steals and 21 blocks on the season.
Hein, a 5'10" forward, averaged 3.6 rebounds per game and ended the season with 216 points.
The Lady Jays ended the 2003-04 season 18-12 overall and 11-6 in the KCAC.
