Tabor women sweep Hesston at home
Tabor's women's tennis team played host to Hesston College Tuesday in a non-scheduled match. Tabor defeated Hesston 9-0.
In singles competition, Laurel Delamater defeated Katie Martin 8-1; Danni Brucks defeated Emily Kirk 8-0; Ashlee Helmley defeated Ashley Luty 8-2; Jennifer Proffitt, Kim Harden, and Lindsay Adrian, all won by default.
In the doubles competition, the team of Delamater and Helmley defeated Martin and Kirk 8-2; Brucks and Proffitt defeated Luty and Imhoff 8-0; Harden and Adrian won by default.
"This was a good match for us only because we were able to get back on the winning side," head coach Lonnie Isaac said.
"Many of our players needed to get a win after playing some tough competition early in the year," he said.
The women's team will compete Friday and Saturday in the Omni Hotels National Qualifiers meet held in Kansas City. They will play at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Friends University in Wichita.
