Frank and Anna Mae Stika and Lisa Hanschu and Anna attended a party Sunday afternoon at the home of Brian and Corey Sader in Salina in celebration of their daughter Brylee's second birthday.
Jim Clemmer underwent a heart catheterization Tuesday at Wichita.
Tampa young people attending a Catholic youth organization convention Saturday and Sunday in Wichita included Chelsey Tajchman, Alisha Barney, Kristine Jirak, Amy Hajek, Seth Jirak, Julie Rziha, Kevin Mueller, Sean Leihy, Jackie and Alphonse Klenda, Shaina Makovec, Andrea Kleiber, Gloria Belton, and adult sponsors, Mary Jirak and Terry and Cindy Vinduska. Tom Leihy provided transportation.
Valerie Hampton was a Sunday dinner guest of her mother, Lois Sklenar.
Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer, and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna attended a party Sunday afternoon celebrating the first birthday of Robbie Beames. The occasion at the home of Rusty and Samantha Beames in Herington included refreshments, a piñata, and pictures of the birthday boy for the guests.
Members of the Tampa Triple T's 4-H Club worked Saturday to transport tree limbs to the burn pile as a community service project.
Georgia Spohn met Orlin and Norma Wagner of Wichita Saturday in Hillsboro and the three went to McPherson for dinner out. Then they toured the Maxwell Game Preserve.
Stephanie Classen of Marion was a Sunday supper guest of Jim and Mary Clemmer.
Jane Vajnar and Mildred Hamm went Friday evening and Saturday with a group of women from Durham Baptist Church to the Kansas Fellowship women's retreat in Manhattan. Others in the group were Valerie Hampton, Kathy Dirks, Connie Wiens, Lois Nuss, Sheila Nuss, Carol Ollenburger, and Kay Carlson. Ruth Hamm and Shirley Hamm attended on Saturday. The main speaker for the retreat was Brenda Lane of Wichita. The event hosted by Highland Baptist Church in Junction City had a boot camp theme, and two soldiers from Fort Riley spoke on Friday evening about their experiences in Iraq.
A group of Centre High School students went to Fort Scott Friday for Aggie Days and participated in judging and speech contests. Tampa students attending included Jackie Klenda, Kristine Jirak, Julie Rziha, Gloria Belton, Alisha Barney, and Allie Will. In the speech competitions, Jackie placed fifth in the senior division, Kristine placed fifth in the junior division, and Julie placed fourth in the freshman division.
Tom and Dee Duggan visited Deb Hall and Kaylee Friday evening in Herington. Kaylee accompanied them home to stay overnight, and Tom took her back home Saturday.
Bob and Phyl Kenney and Dana Wendling of Lincoln, Neb., were afternoon and supper guests Wednesday of Leona Kleiber. Phyl, Dana, and Leona went to Marion late in the afternoon for a short visit with Cindy Vinduska.
Lucille Kerbs accompanied Connie Thompson of Abilene to Manhattan Thursday to visit Allison Phillips at Kansas State University. The three went out to eat and enjoyed a good visit.
Helen Benson of Raytown, Mo., was a supper and overnight guest March 29 of Adeline Bernhardt.
Leona Kleiber visited March 29 with Ruby Vinduska at Hillsboro Community Medical Center in Hillsboro.
Tom and Dee Duggan visited Bud Mead of Andover at Saint Joseph hospital March 28 in Wichita. They went on to Bartlesville, Okla., where they stayed until Wednesday with Ernie and Darlene Kite. Ernie Bonham and his friend Brenda joined them. Tuesday evening Darlene and Dee went to a cooking school.
Helen Benson of Raytown, Mo., Adeline Bernhardt, Edna Mueller, Leona Kleiber, and Reuben and Lucille Kerbs attended the Tri-County Telephone Association meeting March 29 at Centre High School. The Centre fifth and sixth grade honor choir under the direction of Lynley Remy performed. Drew Adams, Andrea Kleiber, and Adam Gantenbein gave a slide presentation of the youth tour in Washington, D.C., which they took June 5-9. The tour was sponsored by Tri-County Telephone.
Lori and Tom Moldenhauer and Nikki enjoyed dinner out March 28 in McPherson in celebration of their wedding anniversary.

Friday evening Dee Anna Stout of Wichita, Kathy, and Adeline attended "At the Cross" at Park Place Ministry Center in Wichita. On Sunday the Hubbards, Adeline, and Andrea King attended an Easter breakfast at Calvary Lutheran Church. Donna Hubbard was an additional Easter dinner guest of the Hubbards. Jeremy Miller was an afternoon visitor.
Weekend guests of Tom and Dee Duggan were Darla Hall and Adam of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Deb Hall and Kaylee of Herington. Kaylee participated in the community egg hunt on Saturday and won the prize basket for her age group. Dee's brother Bill and his friend Janaee joined them for Easter dinner.

Cecilia Rziha of Hays spent her spring break with Jerry and Jeanne Rziha and Julie. Additional weekend guests were Wayne and Shannon Rziha, Cecilia and Anthony of Tulsa, Okla., Janie Rziha and John and Jeanne Rziha, Michael, Christopher, Joseph, Timothy, and Thomas of Atchison, Susie Rziha of Independence, and David Rziha of Council Grove. Diane Rziha, Andrew and Peter of Solomon came Saturday for the Easter egg hunt. Additional Easter dinner guests were Bonnie Haslouer of Abilene, Bob and Nancy Rziha and Gertrude Rziha of Great Bend, and Jim and Diane Rziha, Andrew and Peter of Solomon.
Dean and Becky Routh, Melody, Allison, and Danielle of Augusta spent the weekend with her mother, Leona Kleiber. Friday evening Becky joined Brenda Swinney of Herington, Jean Thiessen of Whitewater, and Kelsi Cubbage of Newton in Lindsborg, where they toured the Bethany College campus and downtown area and attended Bach's Saint Matthew Passion at Presser Hall.
Lucille Kerbs visited Connie Thompson and Taylor in Abilene Saturday, and they all went out to eat together.
Forty-seven children, fifth grade and under, participated in the Easter egg hunt Saturday afternoon at the park. All were given sacks of candy, and one boy and one girl in each age group received a prize basket. In the two-and-under group Cecilia Marie Rziha got the girl's basket, and the winner of the boy's basket was signed in as Casey Z. Your correspondent was unable to discover his last name. Winners among three-and-four-year-olds were Katie Hillyer and Joseph Rziha. Kaylee Hall and Christopher Rziha took home the baskets for ages five, six, and seven. Baskets for the top group went to Karen Leihy and Grant Srajer.
Gary and Carole Spohn and Georgia Spohn attended Maundy Thursday service at Marion Christian Church.
Dee Duggan, along with some other members of the Red Hat Shady Ladies, attended the annual Easter bonnet luncheon Thursday in Herington. The event was sponsored by the chamber of commerce. Dee won the prize for the prettiest hat.
Frank and Anna Mae Stika attended the church service Thursday evening at the Methodist church in Hope. Their daughter, Lisa Hanschu, played the piano for the service and sang a duet with Marilyn Anderson, accompanied by Jim Anderson.
