Tampa: Residents report holiday happenings

Donald and Carolyn Srajer of Omaha, Neb., arrived Tuesday to spend a few days with Tillie Hein and Jim and Kris Srajer, Grant and Cole. All enjoyed a belated Christmas supper Tuesday at the home of Jim, Kris, and sons.

Nicholas Kleiber of Salina was a Monday overnight and Tuesday morning guest of his grandmother, Leona Kleiber.

Tom and Dee Duggan attended the Tampa State Bank Christmas party Tuesday evening in Marion.

Rustyn Kerbs was a Tuesday supper and evening guest of his grandparents, Reuben and Lucille Kerbs.

Adeline Bernhardt was a Tuesday evening visitor of Don and Paula Witt.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna, and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki spent Monday in Salina for dinner out, shopping, and a movie in celebration of Nikki's 16th birthday. Tom Moldenhauer joined them in the evening for supper at the Stika home.

Jane Vajnar visited Reuben and Lucille Kerbs Monday.

Christmas weekend guests of Jerry and Jeanne Rziha and Julie were Wayne and Shannon Rziha, Cecilia Marie and Anthony of Tulsa, Okla., John and Jeanne Rziha, Michael, Christopher, Joseph, Timothy, and Thomas, Emilio and Janie Aita of Atchison, Jim and Diane Herron, Andrew and Peter of Solomon, David and Caterina Rziha of Council Grove, Susie Rziha of Independence, and Cecilia Rziha of Hays. Wayne, Shannon, and children, the Aitas, Susie and Cecilia remained for several days. On Tuesday Wayne and Shannon, Cecilia Marie and Anthony, and Emilio and Janie went to Great Bend and Abilene to visit their grandmothers, Gertrude Rziha and Bonnie Haslouer.

Jim and Mary Clemmer recently heard from their niece, Marilyn Dailey who teaches art at Sandhill Elementary School in Haines City, Fla., Two of her students had been honored for remarkable achievements. One designed the picture to appear on the Christmas card of Lieutenant Governor Toni Jennings. Her design was the winner in a state-wide contest, and the lieutenant governor came to the school to present the award. Another student won the national garden, "Draw Your State Flower" contest for Florida and will advance to national competition.

Greg Sklenar of Wichita spent from Saturday to Monday with his mother, Lois Sklenar. Additional Christmas dinner guests were Karen Sklenar, Valerie Hampton, and Judy Malin of Hillsboro.

Ryan Spohn of Manhattan was a Christmas Eve overnight guest of his parents, Gary and Carole Spohn. Georgia Spohn joined them for church and dinner Christmas Day.

Christmas dinner guests of Paul and Edna Backhus were Ron and Jody Heath, Dani and Tyler of Salina, Don and Ophelia Jacobson and Greg Jacobson of Hope, John and Wanda Lewis, Paul, Sarah, and Luke of Andover, Mike and Jennifer Jay of Hillsboro, Phyllis Mueller, Rod Mueller, Brad Backhus, and Jason Backhus.

Tillie Hein was a Christmas dinner guest of Ron and Dolores Scott of Emporia. Other guests were Debbie and Terry Dody of Branson, Mo., Richard Scott of Houston, Texas, John and Rebecca Nottingham, Daniel, Alex, and Emily of Ozawkie, and Pamela Fillmore of Cottonwood Falls.

Adeline Bernhardt spent Dec. 19-27 with Barney and Linda Bernhardt and Megan of Wichita and Carl and Kathy Hubbard and Clint of Wellington. On Christmas Day additional guests at the Hubbard home for dinner and a gift exchange were Mitch and Jennifer Rusk, Kelsey and Chandler of Edmond, Okla., Chris and Dee Anna Stout and Gabrielle of Wichita, Donna Hubbard, and Andrea King of Wellington. In the evening Adeline joined Carrie Bernhardt of El Dorado, John and Debra Haines, Hailee and Heather, and James Haines of Wichita for a dinner and gift exchange at the Bernhardt home. Adeline accompanied the Hubbards Monday to Wichita, where they attended a movie and ate out.

Christmas supper guests of Leona Kleiber were Terry and Cindy Vinduska of Marion, Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nicholas of Salina, Dean and Becky Routh, Melody, Allison, and Danielle of Augusta, Armando and Jill Tarin, Andrea Kleiber, Amanda Kleiber and Tim Baxa of Manhattan, Capt. Anthony and Sara Hanson of Enterprise, Ala., Melissa Stuchlik and Tanner, and Dale Klenda of Pilsen. After opening gifts and visiting, desserts were served. Daniel Stuchlik and Allie and Aaron and Holly Routh and Easton were unable to attend.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna, and Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki attended the Christmas Eve program at the Lutheran church in Herington. Nikki was in the program, and Lori played the organ. After the program all came to the Stika home for supper. All except Nikki were guests of the Stikas on Christmas Day. The Stikas and Hanschus attended church in Hope where James and Anna were in the program.

Deb Hall and Kaylee of Herington were Christmas Eve overnight guests of Tom and Dee Duggan after attending church together. On Christmas Day they all went to Lee's Summit, Mo., where they were overnight guests of Darla Hall and Adam.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs visited Saturday with Connie Thompson, Allison and Taylor in Abilene.

Jim and Mary Clemmer joined other family members Christmas Eve at the home of Dale and Sandy Clemmer in Salina. All attended the children's program in which Jim and Mary's great-granddaughter, Blayke Clemmer, performed.

Bill and Kay Stanley of Minneapolis spent Saturday with Gary and Carole Spohn. Georgia Spohn was an afternoon visitor.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs, Russ and Julie Kerbs, and Jesse and Ashton Smith attended "A Shepherd's Christmas," the children's program Christmas Eve at St. John Lutheran Church. Rustyn Kerbs was one of the performers. All were supper guests of Reuben and Lucille after the program.
