Terman, Myers inducted into the SAU Hall of Fame
Max Terman, professor of biology and chair of the biology department at Tabor College, and Gary Myers, former Tabor professor and athletic director, were inducted Nov. 6 into the Athletic Hall of Fame at Spring Arbor University, Spring Arbor, Mich., with other members of the 1964 baseball team.
The 1964 team was comprised of what many at Spring Arbor University consider to be the "original cast." The team helped set the standard of baseball excellence that the university currently enjoys.
Aside from compiling an impressive 17-6 record, the 1964 team captured the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics District 23 crown, defeating Ferris State University 4-3 in the semi-finals before downing Hillsdale College 7-4 in the district championship round.
The Hall of Fame seeks to recognize Spring Arbor University individuals or teams that have distinguished themselves in the field of athletics and have contributed to society in positive manners after leaving college. Membership is awarded for athletic performance at Spring Arbor University, coaching or administrative accomplishments, or meritorious service.
