Thank you

t's funny how some things in life happen all at once.

That seems to be the case with my housing situation. Just when I thought there wasn't another decent rental house to be had in Hillsboro — let alone one that would allow a pet — life surprises me again.

So I wanted to say thank you to those people who either called or stopped by to tell me that they'd read my column last week, and yes, they had a house to rent.

I won't write your names down here — I don't want anyone else to grab those houses before I've made my decision! But you know who you are, and I'm very grateful to you.

The only snag? Unfortunately, I forgot the tiny detail of getting out of my current lease.

But I'm sure things will work out, and I'll be safely ensconced in my Hillsboro home, when the timing is right.

Boy, if I would have known that things would turn out this good, I would have written that column a long time ago.

Maybe in a future column, I'll mention that I'm single and looking for a nice Christian guy . . .

Just kidding. Really.
