Thieves damage car, steal stero in Tampa

Anthony A. Naerebout, 1360 280th, Tampa, left his 1990 Ford Tempo at 110th and K-15. Sometime between 5:30 p.m. Aug. 23 and 3:15 p.m. Aug. 24, unknown individuals stole a stereo from the car, broke the rear window, dented the top and trunk lid, damaged driver's door, and stole a log chain. Damages to the disabled vehicle and theft are valued at $1,180, reports Deputy Rollin Schmidt.

Sometime between Aug. 18 and Aug. 22, unknown individuals entered the garage of Frankie Biehler, 2255 290th, Lincolnville, and stole an air compressor and air tank. Deputy Larry Starkey said the loss is valued at $500.

Unknown individuals removed two "Yield" signs and a post in Lincolnville sometime between Aug. 15 and Aug. 18, reports Deputy Starkey. The signs and post are valued at $150.

An individual cut the safety seal and stole a Westinghouse electric meter from an electric pole at 1071 280th. The meter, owned by Flint Hills Rural Electric Company, was taken between June 24 and Aug. 22, and is valued at $118, reports Deputy Schmidt.
