Three accidents are reported by Hillsboro police
At 3:58 p.m. Sept. 1, Joanne Vogel, 53, 910 East D Street, Hillsboro, backed a 2006 Pontiac GT into an electrical transformer in the Hillsboro sports complex parking lot.
More than $1,000 in damages were reported by Hillsboro Police Officer Brad Richards. There were no injuries reported.
At 3 p.m. Thursday, a 1987 Buick Century driven by Ruth Vanderwilt, 88, 510 S. Wilson, Hillsboro, backed from a driveway in the 200 block of South Washington Street and struck a parked vehicle.
According to Officer Richards, the parked vehicle was owned by Marci Wodke, 309 N. Adams, Hillsboro, and was legally parked. There were more than $1,000 in damages and no injuries reported.
At 10:18 a.m. Saturday, Abby J. McIntosh, 21, 302 West Third Street, Lot 4, Hillsboro, was southbound on Jefferson Street driving a 1987 Chevrolet C-10 pickup when it collided with a 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue driven by Donna J. Diener, 46, 206 Eisenhower, Hillsboro, that was westbound on First Street.
Sergeant Chad Funk reported McIntosh failed to obey a yield sign at Jefferson which caused the collision.
No one was injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.
