Peabody-Burns Junior High School football team was defeated Thursday 35-0 by Hutch Trinity.
Hutch scored three times in the first half, to take a 22-0 lead. The Tomahawk defense did force a fumble that was recovered by Jacob Simmonds. Seth Alstrom intercepted a pass to give the defense some first-half highlights.
The Tomahawk offense had the ball seven times but failed to make it in the end zone.
The second half started with a Tomahawk on-sides kick that was recovered by Simmonds. PBJH moved the ball down field, but fumbled on the Trinity 10-yard line.
Sean Jones and Caleb Hilliard both recovered fumbles in the half, but the Tomahawk offense still couldn't muster a point.
PBJH, now 1-4, will travel Thursday to Inman.
