To the Editor:
Certainly the people of Kansas are seeing the public school system for what it is, at the bottom for moral character, honesty, and restraint.
The boards', administrators', and teachers' goals now are power and money, and your child is the hostage in a lawsuit regarding nothing less than blackmail.
This has been in the planning for years; however, no elected official has championed the lawsuit with more energy or used more taxpayer-funded state resources than Gov. Sebelius. I attended her Wichita forum of Sept. 23, 2003, and it was nothing less than an education rally to covet power and money that does not belong to them.
But let me further reveal the lack of Godly character and hatred of the Bible in public schools. In a conversation with a Newton school teacher, he blurted; "I wish they'd kick the Bible school out of the schools."
Also, I was a candidate for the Goessel school board this past April. I sent a letter of my values to every family in the district. Introducing myself as a born again Christian, I called for men of high moral character to rally to me, that we would take back control of our schools. Amongst other things, I called for a weekly chapel service of students and employees, also open to the public. I closed my letter asking for the people to pray daily for a revival in our community. In a conversation with a Goessel teacher, he said this: "I want you to know, Tony, that the teachers at the school are talking about your insulting letters."
The Wichita education forum was a breaking of the 10th Commandment, a covetous demand for money that does not belong to them.
The Newton teacher displays hostility toward the Bible.
The Goessel teacher regards the Biblical values of a Godly man as insulting.
Parents, is this the kind of influence you want to send your child into this fall?
