Trojan girls end winning streak at Abilene
The Trojan girls' basketball team ended its six-game winning streak at Abilene last Friday, losing 58-37.
The Trojans improved their free throw shooting to 42 percent but only shot 34 percent from two-point range and 20 percent from three-point range.
JuliAnne Chisholm led the team with 10 points, all in the second half, two steals, six rebounds, and one block. Chisholm and Katie Fast both sat out much of the first half because of foul trouble. Fast had six points, six rebounds, and one blocked shot.
Hillsboro was down 17-4 in the first quarter and ended the first half down 16, 29-13. Although the girls scored 24 points in the second half to Abilene's 29, they couldn't overcome the first half deficit.
