Trojan golfers medal at Sacred Heart
The Hillsboro High School golf team traveled to Salina on Friday to compete in the Sacred Heart Invitational.
No Hillsboro individuals medaled at the meet, but the two-man team of Billy Winegarner and Ryan Fields came in eighth place with a combined score of 180. Minneapolis took first in the two-man competition.
In the four-man division, the team of Fields, Winegarner, Lance Bartel, and Jordan Allen came in at twelfth place with a 372 score.
Burrton took first in the four-man, and a Burrton player shot 76 to take an individual first-place medal.
For Hillsboro, the four best golfers were Fields, who shot 88, Winegarner with 92, Bartel with 96, and Allen with 96.
