Trojans compete in most competitive tournament all year

Ask any 3A coach and they will tell you the Wichita Collegiate tournament at Hidden Lakes Golf Club and they will tell you it's as good an any around.
"This is by far the most competitive tournament we attend all year," Hillsboro High School coach Scott O'Hare said.
That being said, his Trojans finished ahead of two teams at the 12-team event, with a total score of 348.
Elliot Soyez paced the Trojans with an 18-hole round of 79, good enough for a tie at 11th place. Andrew Bina shot an 80, Justin Kent an 82, and Darren Enns had a 107.
O'Hare said it was the first time he could remember everyone played from the tips, or the tees farthest back in the tee box. Couple that with the fact the course doesn't allow for mistakes, and O'Hare knew it would be a tough day.
"There are always a number of traditionally strong golfing schools there and typically scores are very low," O'Hare said. "As was the case again this year."
