Two headed for state after forensics meet
Members of the Hillsboro High School forensics team competed last Saturday in Abilene.
The team placed fifth overall out of 16 teams.
Adrien Bebermeyer earned a second place medal in both oration and prose interpretation which qualifies her for the state championship competition in both events.
Other individual results at the Abilene competition were Emily Bebermeyer, who received a sixth place medal in informative speaking and Dana Suderman who placed seventh in poetry interpretation.
On Jan. 25, members of the team competed at Smoky Valley High School in Lindsborg.
Suderman placed second in the poetry interpretation which qualifies her for the state championships.
Derek Ulrich placed fourth in extemporaneous speaking. Emily Railsback placed fifth in informative speaking and Emily Bebermeyer seventh.
