Two HES students win art contest
Hillsboro Elementary School students Luke Fisher and Christina Morris won first and second place in the fourth-fifth grade division of the 2006 Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve Art and Education Contest.
Fisher received a $50 U.S. savings bond, recognition certificate signed by the governor, T-shirt, and free national park service ranger-guided tour of Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve for his class and teachers.
Morris received a recognition certificate signed by the governor and a T-shirt.
Their teacher received a free book about the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve for their classroom.
The contest was sponsored by Kansas Park Trust.
