Unruh, Hiebert marry May 3
Sara Unruh and Bradley Hiebert, both of Goessel, were married May 3, 2003, at Tabor Mennonite Church in rural Goessel. Rev. Corey Miller of Tabor Mennonite Church and Rev. Mark Wiens of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride's parents are Pete and Sharon Unruh of Goessel. Parents of the groom are Johnnie and Bertha Hiebert of Goessel.
Musicians were Cynthia Goerzen, organ and piano; Aaron Banman, vocal and guitar; Leslie Miller, vocal; and Tara Goerzen, vocal.
Maid of honor was Jodi Crossgrove of Wauseon, Ohio. Bridesmaids were Shanna Peters of Prairie Village, sister of the bride; Kristi Unruh of Goessel, sister-in-law of the bride; and Shiela Wiebe of Hillsboro.
Best man was Nathan Hiebert of Wichita, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Kelly Ratzlaff of Goessel, cousin of the groom; Brandon Unruh of Goessel, brother of the bride; and Lance Hiebert of Goessel, brother of the groom.
Ushers were Eric Peters of Prairie Village, brother-in-law of the bride, and Aaron Ratzlaff of Topeka, cousin of the groom.
Guest book attendants were Melinda Hiebert of Wichita, sister-in-law of the groom, and Yvette Peters of Goessel. Sheldon Goerzen and Evan Hiebert were in charge of the gifts.
The reception, hosted by Pete and Sharon Unruh and Johnnie and Bertha Hiebert, was held at Tabor Mennonite Church fellowship hall.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Goessel High School, a 2001 graduate of Hesston College, and a 2003 graduate of Eastern Mennonite University. She is a social worker at Hospice Care of Kansas.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Goessel High School and a 2003 graduate of Salina Area Technical College. He is a mechanic at Mid-Kansas Co-op in Goessel.
After a honeymoon to Eureka Springs, Ark., the couple is at home in rural Goessel.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held May 2 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church fellowship hall.
