Unruhs to celebrate 50th years ago
Junior (JR) and Shirley Unruh of Hutchinson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2004.
Unruh and former Shirley Petty were married June 6, 1954, in Salina. He works at Wal-Mart, and she is a homemaker.
The couple will have a private dinner in Wichita hosted by their children and families, Rod and Tracey Unruh of Sioux City, Iowa, and Scott and Kristi DeVault of Hutchinson.
The couple has four grandchildren.
