USD 410 public meetings to cover financial crunch years ago

The Durham-Hillsboro-Lehigh school district has scheduled two public meetings for Tuesday, April 1, and Thursday, April 3. Both meetings will take place at 7 p.m. in the Hillsboro High School technology center.

The meetings will be an opportunity for parents and community members to learn more about the financial challenges the district is now facing. The district would like to receive input from the public on how it might cut expenses or raise revenue.

Administrators will also be holding similar meetings with district site councils.

Currently USD 410 is facing a possible budget deficit of $170,000 to $300,000 for the 2003-04 school year.
