Hillsboro men's varsity tennis team took third place last Thursday in Conway Springs. The tournament was against Conway Springs, Circle, and South Barber.
"I think it actually went pretty well," said Cory Unruh, head men's tennis coach. "Every match we were in it, it didn't seem like it, but we were in it."
Robert Jost, junior, and Caleb Barkman, sophomore, played No. 1 and No. 2 singles teams. Kyle Kroeker and Macy Fadenrecht, both juniors, played No. 1 doubles team, and Peter Fast and Riley Johnson, juniors, played No. 2 doubles.
In No. 1 singles division, Jost beat South Barber 8-7, lost to Conway Springs 8-1, and lost to Circle 8-1.
In No. 1 doubles, Kroeker and Fadenrecht lost to South Barber 8-4, lost to Conway Springs 8-3, and won against Circle 8-2.
