Velma Jantzen

Velma L. Jantzen, 75, died Jan. 14, 2008, at Parkside Homes, Hillsboro.

The daughter of Jacob and Fannie (Yost) Dyck, she was born April 18, 1932, at Hesston.

On Jan. 31, 1988, she married Melvin Jantzen at Hesston.

She was a school teacher and member of Meridian Church, rural Hesston.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin of Hesston; two sons, Scott Jantzen of Wichita and Daniel Jantzen of Colorado; daughter, Lea Isaac of Durham; two brothers, John Dyck of Hesston and Kenneth Dyck of Newton; two sisters, Neva Schmidt of Moundridge and Margaret Ensz of Inman; and two grandchildren.

A memorial services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Meridian Church, rural Hesston, with Eldon Wenger and Shawn Giesel officiating.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cimarron Mennonite Church, Cimarron. Burial will be in Cimarron Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
