Victor Jost
Victor "Vic" Jost, 90, of Whitewater died April 26, 2003, at Wheat State Manor in Whitewater.
Born June 26, 1912, in rural Hillsboro, he was the son of Martin and Bertha (Golbek) Jost.
On Nov. 5, 1934, he married Helen Childs in Shafter, Calif. She died Oct. 1, 1997.
He was a member of Swiss Church in Whitewater and Lions Club of Potwin. He was honored by becoming a Melvin Jones Fellow. He enjoyed gardening and wood carving.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, seven brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include son, Gerald Jost of Whitewater; brothers, Chester Jost and Ted Jost, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; sister, Helen Malin of Hillsboro; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were April 29 at Swiss Church in Whitewater with Pastors Dale Janzen and Arnold Ensz officiating. Burial was at McGill Cemetery in Potwin.
A memorial has been established with Ponca Bible Camp.
