Vivian A. Brunner
Vivian A. Brunner, 85, of Herington, and a lifelong resident of Kansas, died May 8, 2003, at Herington Municipal Hospital.
She was born Nov. 26, 1917, in Herington, the daughter of Gus and Helena (Kniebel) Weber.
On Dec. 2, 1917, she was baptized by Rev. L. C. Hermerding in the Immanuel Lutheran Church. She attended the Immanuel Lutheran Parochial School and was confirmed on May 1, 1932, by Rev. W.G. Biel.
On Dec. 21, 1947, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, near Herington, she married Joseph H. Brunner of Ramona. He died March 25, 1986. The couple moved to Hillsboro after retirement in 1982. They were members of Zion Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Weber; nephews, Lyle and Lloyd Weber; and her parents.
Survivors include brother, Clemens Weber of Herington; a niece, Wanda Johnson of Charleston, Ill.; nephew, Philip Weber of Herington; one great niece; five great nephews; and three great-great nephews.
Services were held May 10 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Herington, with Pastor Alan Stahlecker officiating. Burial was at the Lewis Cemetery in Ramona.
