Vote Tuesday
Marion County voters will go to the polls Tuesday to elect city and school district leaders.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Residents in western Hillsboro, Lehigh, and Risley Township will vote at the Hillsboro city building. East Hillsboro residents and Liberty Township voters will go to the Hillsboro United Methodist Church. Goessel residents may cast their ballots at the the Agape Senior Center.
Advance ballots are available at Marion County Clerk's office in the courthouse during regular business hours and until 5 p.m. Monday.
City council candidates are:
— Goessel, council three positions: Anton H. Epp, (I) Ricky Freeman, (I) James Wiens, and (I) Dwayne Duerksen.
— Hillsboro, mayor: (I) Delores Dalke; council, ward one/west: Robert Watson; ward two/east: (I) Matt Hiebert and Shane Marler.
— Durham, mayor: (I) Glennon Crowther; council, five positions: Steven B. Miller, Michael Sorensen, Verlin Summerfeld, and (I) Gary Unruh.
— Lehigh, no candidates filed for mayor or five council positions.
School district candidates are:
— USD 410, position one: (I) Debra Geis, position two: (I) Dale W. Klassen; position three: (I) Mark Rooker; position seven (at-large): (I) Roderick Koons.
— USD 411, position one: Darla Meysing; position two: (I) Maynard Knepp; position three: (I) Dan Miller; position seven (at-large): (I) Mary Rosfelz.
