Voths to celebrate 60th anniversary years ago

Alfred and Rose Voth will be honored at an open house to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on April 19, 2003. The celebration will be from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Garden Room at the Wellness Center at 703 S. Main in Hesston.

Alfred Harry Voth married Rosella Pearl Funk on April 2, 1943, at Bruderthal Mennonite Church near Hillsboro. They have lived in Hesston since 1950.

The Voths owned and operated Hesston Standard until 1971. Alfred also worked for many years at Crossroads Co-op in North Newton, and Rose worked at Bob's Variety Store and Hesston Pharmacy.

Their children are hosting the event. They are Diana and Clint Hull of Goodyear, Ariz.; Richard and Sue Voth of Claremore, Okla.; Kenneth and Ann Voth of South Bend, Ind.; Dennis and Joy Voth of Hesston; and Gerald and Michele Voth of Walton. They have nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to the open house. The couple request no gifts.
