WEDDING: John Goerzen and Terah Yoder

Terah Nicole Yoder and John Paul Goerzen, both of Indianapolis, Ind., were married Oct. 13, 2001, at Shalom Mennonite Church in Indianapolis with Pastor Dagne Assefa officiating. Pastor James Klassen, uncle of the groom from Garland, Texas, provided the welcome.

The bride is the daughter of Linda Yoder of Mishawaka, Ind., and Warren Yoder and Marla Kauffman of Indianapolis. The groom is the son of Les and Cynthia Goerzen of Goessel.

Selma Klassen of Hesston, grandmother of the groom, was the scripture reader. Irvin Yoder of Goshen, Ind., grandfather of the bride, gave a blessing.

James Goerzen, brother of the groom, and Cynthia Goerzen, mother of the groom, played the piano. Grace Rhine of Indianapolis was the song leader.

Maid of honor was Angie Philippsen of Mishawaka. Best man was Jonathan Hall of Goessel. Flower girl was Arianna Plett of Indianapolis. Ring bearer was Stephen Gervase of Coatesville, Ind., cousin of the bride. Bible bearer was Geoffrey Gervase of Coatesville, cousin of the bride.

Ushers were Peter Goerzen of Goessel, brother of the groom; Wes Regehr of Hesston, uncle of the groom; Woes Yoder of Napping, Ind., uncle of the bride; and Rich Yoder of Middlebury, Ind., uncle of the bride.

Charlie Gambel of Indianapolis was the church bell ringer. Aunts and cousins of the bride and groom served the reception.

The bride is a 1995 graduate of Bethany Christian High School in Goshen, Ind., and a 1999 graduate of Purdue University. She is employed as a social worker with Behaviorcorp in Carmel, Ind.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Goessel High School and attended Wichita State University. He is employed as a computer programmer with Quovix in Indianapolis.
