Wedding: Scharenberg-Miller
Jami Scharenberg and Chad Miller, both of Wichita, were married April 27, 2002, in a double-ring ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Wichita with Rev. Alan Lindell officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Dennis and Phyllis Scharenberg of Hillsboro, and the groom is the son of Ed and Sharon Miller of Wichita.
The bride wore a sleeveless white satin gown featuring a bodice of sequins and beads with a Queen Anne neckline and basque waist. The full length skirt featured a scalloped hem that flowed into a cathedral length train which was covered in sequins and beads. The headpiece was a tiara of white pearls with a fingertip veil. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses.
Matron of honor was Rochelle Scharenberg of Newton, sister-in-law of the bride, and bridesmaids were Dana Scharenberg of Wichita, sister-in-law of the bride, and Joelsette Seal of Peck, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Paul Bradley of Wichita, and groomsman was Eddy Mynatt of Wichita.
Ushers were Nick Scharenberg of Wichita, brother of the bride; Tim Scharenberg of Newton, brother of the bride; Andy Faber of Wichita, nephew of the groom; and Victor Baker of Wichita.
Musicians were Brett Valliant of Wichita, organist; Mark Hall of Wichita, vocalist; and Bonnie Quick of Wichita, violinist.
Candlelighters were Erica Prather of Wichita, cousin of the bride, and Leslie Steventon of Florida, niece of the groom.
Flower girl was Krystal Miller of Wichita, sister of the groom. Ring bearer was Caleb Seal of Peck, cousin of the bride.
The guest book attendant was Angela Muench of Wichita, sister of the groom. Gift bearers were Lisa Torrez of Burlington, sister of the bride, and Andrea Smith of Wichita, cousin of the bride.
A reception was held in the church after the ceremony. Hosts and hostesses were Jerry and Micki Siebert of Cedar Point, uncle and aunt of the bride; Mark and Paula Hall of Wichita; and Troy and Kathy Hampton of Wichita. Reception attendants were Faith Beckloff of Wichita, cousin of the bride, Paula Cornelson, sister of the groom, and Anna Mosher.
The bride graduated from Hillsboro High School and attended Tabor College. She is employed as a teller by Wichita Municipal Federal Credit Union.
The groom graduated from Wichita West High School and Wichita Area Technical College, majoring in small engines and horticulture. He is employed by the City of Wichita in the flood control department.
After a wedding trip to Colorado, the couple is at home in Wichita.
