WEDDINGS: Dan and Jan Schmidt

Jan Hadley and Dan Schmidt, both of Denver, Colo., were married Sept. 15, 2001, at the Merritt House Bed and Breakfast in Denver, Colo. Pastor Vern Rempel of the Denver First Mennonite Church officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Velma and Pearl Hadley of Hillsboro. The groom is the son of Julia Gregory of Denver, Colo.

Beth Wright served as the matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Ann Davis, Peggy Mead, and Cyndi Riley.

Groomsmen attending the ceremony were Jim Bennette, brother-in-law of the groom, and Steve Hoodmaker. The best man, Eric Kraska, and groomsman Tom Heaton, brother-in-law of the groom, were absent from the ceremony as a result of the events of the week.

Susan and Dan Kirkpatrick and Richard Wright greeted guests and attended the guest book.

Nellie Schmidt, dog of the groom, served as both ringbearer and flower girl.

The bride is a graduate of Moscow High School in Moscow, Idaho, and earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration with an accounting emphasis from San Diego State University.

The groom is a graduate of Columbia High School in Columbia, Ill., and earned a bachelor of business administration with a management information systems emphasis degree from the University of Georgia.

The couple had a honeymoon trip to Italy. They are both employed at J.D. Edwards and Company in Denver, Colo.
