WEDDINGS: Spender, Strotkamp
DeAnn Spencer and Michael Strotkamp were married July 20, 2002, in a double-ring candlelight ceremony at Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro with Pastor Larry King officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Darrell and Delores Spencer of Marion. The groom is the son of Susan Strotkamp of Wichita and Johney Strotkamp of Burns.
The bride wore a white satin gown fashioned with a sequin trimmed bodice. The full length skirt featured a flowing cathedral-length train. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses, gardenias, freesia, and alstromeria.
Matron of honor was Dana Maize of Brentwood, Tenn., sister of the bride, and the bridesmaid was Keri Anderson of Peabody.
Best man was Jason Anderson of Peabody, cousin of the groom, and the groomsman was James Scott of Peabody, cousin of the groom.
Flower girl was Lexi Anderson, cousin of the groom.
Ushers were Aaron Helmer and Ray Helmer both of Marion, cousins of the bride.
Cindy Davis of Wichita, cousin of the groom, was the candle lighter.
Vocalists were the bride's sister and brother-in-law, James and Dana Maize.
The guest book attendant was Amy Helmer of Marion, cousin of the bride. The gift attendant was Crystal Strotkamp of Wichita, sister of the groom.
A reception was held in the fellowship hall following the ceremony. Reception attendants were Terri Bina and Traci Waner of Marion and Dawn Strotkamp and Cindy Davis of Wichita.
