What's your resolution?

The Star-Journal ends its "Thoughts for the Holidays" series this week with one final question:

What one New Year's resolution do you really hope you'll keep this coming year?

We'd like to thank all of those who've offered their comments the past month for our readers to enjoy. We hope you enjoyed getting to know your neighbors just a little bit better.

Coleen Miller, certified pharmacy technician at Greenhaw Pharmacy:

"My resolution is to be a kinder person this coming year."

Aaron Piland, Hillsboro Middle School eighth grader:

"My resolution is not to drink pop. I've done it so far all this year."

Bob Jantz, butcher at Dale's Supermarket:

"My resolution is to be more understanding and caring."

Ben Ewert, age 86, retired Cooperative Grain and Supply feed hauler, and Clara Ewert, 85, retired Parkside Homes nurse's aide (residents of Parkside Homes, Inc.):

"Our resolution is to continue to be kind to the nurses here at the nursing home."

Marci Wodke, Hillsboro High School ninth grader:

"My New Year's resolution is to have no pop or candy."

Juanita D'Albini, customer service representative for Central National Bank:

"My resolution is to have year 2002 be the turning point in my life."

Regina Ogle, cook and cashier at Casey's Convenience Store:

"My resolution is to keep off the weight I've been losing this year."

Thomas VanWart, Hillsboro High School ninth grader:

"My resolution is to get all A's, because I need that."

Richard Nickel, owner of Hillsboro Insurance Center:

"My resolution would be to give more to other people, to be more concerned, and not to complain about things."

Ronnie Davis and Carson Greenhaw, Hillsboro High School senior wrestlers:

"Our resolutions are to get fat because we'll be done with wrestling."
