Wichita duo wins Reservoir fishing tourney

Rex Glaze and Trung Tran of Wichita won the third annual Marion Lake Association Catfish Tournament Sunday morning at Marion Reservoir.

Despite the hot weather, Glaze and Tran won the event with their biggest fish weighing in at 17.9 ounces and their total creel weight of 35.7 pounds. The duo was awarded $100 for the biggest fish and $260 for their overall victory.

Taking $150 prize for second at the tournament was B.J. Clements of Tampa and Todd of Wichita, who finished with a creel weight of 32.3 pounds.

Third place and $100 went to Larry Andrews of Peabody and Truman Slatten of Collins, Mo., who finished with creel weight of 32 pounds.

The total pounds of catfish caught during the tournament was 151.1 pounds.
