Wiebe family celebrates October birthdays

On Tuesday evening, Clayton and Betty Wiebe invited their family over for supper. The October birthdays were honored.

Friday afternoon some went to Moundridge Manor for October birthdays. The Burns Church hosted the party at which all residents with birthdays this month were honored. Lillian Wiebe's sister Alice Unruh was an honoree. Going from here were Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Sandy Wiebe and her granddaughter, Jylissa Wiebe, and Kris Wiebe and Joni and Luke. A short program and refreshments were enjoyed by all.

Sunday guests for dinner at the home of Margie Jantz and Lena Koeyhn in Newton were Larry and Wanda Koehn and Titus, Tim and Shelia Koehn, Dalton and Lorna Wiebe, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family. Others there were Crystal Koehn from the Manor who the Koehns picked up and Howard and Iris Eck and Karaly, Haviland. They celebrated Lena's birthday.

Wendell and Linda Wedel left Saturday morning and spent until Monday evening at Clarksdale, Miss., to visit her sister, Kathryn and Dale Schmidt.

On Friday evening, the Bruce Dirks and Clayton Wiebes visited Melvin and Vera Dirks in Hillsboro.

Going to home of Warren and Jane Unruh for Sunday dinner were Bruce and Cheryl Dirks and Heath, John and Ethel Steiner and Randall, Ken and Sandy Wiebe, Carol Unruh, and Alma and Clara Toews, Hillsboro.

Ron and Dora Unruh attended their grandson's, Darren Enns, football game Monday evening. On Thursday, Dora watched Sarah's volleyball game and Saturday morning Matthew Hiebert's fifth grade flag football game at Hillsboro.

Tuesday, Lola Redger, Jaraine Redger, Kathy Dirks, Dora Unruh, and Doris Schmidt, Hesston, and Verla Redger and Darlene Unruh, Hillsboro, spent the day helping pack school kits and folding blankets to be shipped to Iraq and Sudan at the MCC Center in Newton.
