Witnesses help ID vandals at golf course
Hillsboro Police Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity Friday at the sports complex. Witnesses reported seeing several juveniles forcibly enter a driving range building at Hillsboro Golf Course. The suspects were identified but the case remains under investigation.
July 10: A commercial alarm was activated in the 700 block of East D Street, Hillsboro. An animal complaint was filed at D and Ash streets. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of South Main Street. A parking complaint was made in the 200 block of East First Street. A service station drive-off was investigated in the 300 block of North Ash Street. A report of several juveniles on buildings at Tabor College was checked. Brad Henderson of 303 S. Cedar Street reported someone had forcibly entered and ransacked his residence.
July 11: The Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services received assistance with an investigation. A camper hook-up was provided. Suspicious activity was checked.
July 12: An animal complaint was made in the 300 block of West Third Street. A license was approved for door-to-door sales. A dog complaint was made in the 300 block of West Grand Street. A motorist received assistance downtown. A subject was charged with driving on a suspended and expired driver's license during a routine traffic stop in the 400 block of North Ash Street. A child custody dispute was resolved in the 100 block of North Cedar Street. A litter complaint was filed in the 500 block of West Grand Street.
Thursday: A traffic complaint was made at Third and Lincoln streets. A person reported being threatened by several individuals in the 300 block of North Cedar Street but did not want to pursue charges. A motorist received assistance after being locked out of a vehicle in the 600 block of North Ash Street. A 911 disconnect in the 100 block of South Lincoln Street was reported.
Friday: A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of West D Street. Assistance was provided for a search of a driver on Indigo Road.
Saturday: Emergency Medical Services received assistance with a call in the 500 block of West Grand Street. A dog complaint was filed in the 500 block of West D Street.
