Women's club championship held Saturday at Hillsboro
Twelve women played in the 18-hole women's annual club championship tournament held Saturday at Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course.
After play, lunch was served to the group followed by a business meeting. Officers for the coming year are president, Jane Long; vice president, Raye Dirks; secretary/treasurer, Rita Brennan; tournament chairman, Marcella Mohn; and social chairman, Judy Klein.
Results of the tournament were as follows: Medalist, Pat Bartel, 90. First flight — first place, Mary Honeck, 93; second place, Rita Brennan, 94; third place, Darlene Bartel, 95.
Second flight — first place, Jane Long, 110; second place, Kathy Woelk, 112; third place, Darlene Bartel, 116.
Straightest drive No. 8, Linda Davis; closest to pin No. 6, Pat Bartel; longest putt No. 9, Rita Brennan; least putts, Pat Bartel; and hole-out, Kathy Woelk.
