Wonsevu: Smiths celebrate Christmas Eve with family members at Toronto

Lonnie and Sharon Smith, Julia, Justin, and Sara spent Christmas Eve at the home of Don and Erma Smith at Toronto. Sharon said approximately 100 people got together. They had a visit with Santa Claus and had a great time.
We extend our sympathy to the family of Betty Woodward. She grew up at Wonsevu. We know she will be missed by her many friends.
We send get well wishes to Gary Harper who is in the hospital at Newton.
Our wish also is that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will have a great new year.
Christmas Day dinner guests of Roy and Bev Reynolds were Opal Frederick of Hutchinson. Opal's granddaughter, Lisa and husband of Great Bend, Darin and Tina Reynolds of Wichita, and Kathy and Floyd Dowel of Leon.
Denise Lang and Patti Mitchell treated Margaret Morgan and Margie Williams to a pre-birthday dinner at Town and Country Café at Florence.
Bill and Margie Williams' Christmas Day dinner guests were Gary Williams of Florida, Carl Williams and Becca Kukuk of Manhattan, and Will Soyez, Elliot and Samantha of Florence. Hazel Clothier joined them later in the afternoon.
Margaret Morgan and Margie Williams had lunch Tuesday at Emporia.
The Williams' Sunday dinner guest was Carl Williams of Manhattan.
Kevin and Teresa Hill, Nellie, Heath, and Cassidy of Marion were guests this past Monday of Hazel Clothier. Lanoria Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Giesbrecht, all of Florence were Hazel's Sunday evening visitors.
Hazel met her daughter, Teresa Hill Friday at the Chuck Wagon at Florence for lunch. She called on Margie Williams Friday afternoon.
Denise Lang and Jaimie visited Sunday afternoon with Jessica Lang at Cottonwood Falls.
We extend sympathy to the family of Lonnie Smith in the death of his sister, Penney Lewis.
