Yoder celebrates 115 years Saturday years ago
Yoder will celebrate 115 years on Yoder Heritage Day on Saturday.
The day will begin at 6 a.m. with an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast. At 8 a.m. a horse drawn plowing demonstration is planned and vendor village, bake sale, and food booths will be opened. At 10:30 a.m. an old-fashioned horse drawn parade will begin.
Other events featuring horses begin at noon with a cattle sorting demonstration, followed by an obstacle course, agility demonstrations, horse and buggy races, and horse pull.
At 1 p.m. an antique tractor pull, kid peddle pull (state qualifier), and quilt and craft auction.
Raffle tickets are on sale for an authentic Amish quilt, which will be raffled at 5:30 p.m.
Entertainment throughout the day will feature Main Street Stage by W.C. Edgar, Step by Step, and Reminiscence.
A fireworks display will be at dusk.
