Zella Hall
Zella Elizabeth Hall, 91, of Belleville, died Feb. 20, 2004, at Republic County Hospital in Belleville.
Born Aug. 26, 1912, at Republic, she was the daughter of Edward and Ethel (Stenson) Fischer.
On Oct. 27, 1928, she married Russell D. Hall. They had five sons and four daughters.
She was a homemaker and a long time Scandia resident. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Scandia.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Harold Ray Hall and Duain Hall; grandchildren, Lori Hall, Russell Hall, and Dennis Nickerson; brothers, Hartley, Charles, Keith, and Clarence; and sister, Thora.
Survivors include sons, Daniel "Dean" Hall and his wife Rose of Belleville, Kenneth Hall of Wichita, and Gerold Hall and his wife Vickie of Scandia; daughter, Clara Belle Howe and her husband Leo of Kearney, Neb., JoAnn Knak and her husband Michael of Hillsboro, Mary Evelyn Blackburn and her husband Dean of Orchard, Colo., and Rhonda R. Lamb and her husband Don of Claremore, Okla.; brothers, Everett Fischer of Pennsylvania and Melvin Fischer of Belleville; sister, Delores Samuelson of Courtland; 26 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Scandia with Rev. Ray Gilstrap officiating. Burial was at the Riverview Cemetery in Scandia.
The family request memorials be sent to the Scandia Library Fund in Scandia in lieu of flowers.
