These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-56 east of Pawnee Rd.

A 2013 Ford F-150 driven by John M. Bellerive, 53, Lawrence, rear-ended a 2017 Volvo semi driven by Kevin L. Marak, 52, Paola, at 11:24 a.m. Sept. 16. The Ford, owned by HEC Leasing, Olathe, was towed. The Volvo, owned by Trans Services, Kansas City, Missouri, was driven away. Deputy Landis Goodman’s report states Bellerive had been driving inattentively, but no ticket was issued.

3rd. St. east of B St., Ramona

Jeanette L. Goza, 62, Ramona, backed her 2007 Ford Fusion at 12:25 p.m. Sept. 18 into a parked 2008 Nissan 350Z owned by Eliot G. Shore, Shawnee. Deputy Aaron Christner’s report states that Goza was inattentive and improperly backed into the unattended Nissan, but no tickets were issued.

250th Rd. northwest of Indigo Rd.

A 1999 Toyota Avalon owned by Peggy L. Smith, Colby, was found upside down in a creek bed at 5:40 a.m. Sept. 16.

The Toyota had struck a guardrail before rolling and coming to rest in the creek.

Deputy Kaylan Miles’s report states that Smith told him the car was being used by her son, Lane D. Smith, 39, Colby, but report states that she didn’t know whether he was driving at the time. Miles stated he had been unable to contact Lane Smith, but he still attributed the accident to driving distracted by use of a mobile phone.

Hillsboro

600 block of Orchard Dr.

Catrina M. McGuire backed a 2013 Ford F-150 pickup owned by Jacob L. Johnson of the same Hillsboro address into a parked 2010 Toyota Coaster owned by Villarreal Gustavo at 5:43 p.m. Saturday.

The accident caused minor damage to the Ford’s rear bumper but major damage to the Toyota’s front bumper, grill, and quarter panels.

McGuire said she did not realize she had struck the Toyota. Neither McGuire nor her passenger, Rayna Johnson of Hillsboro, reported injury.
