Alece K. Lehrman, 18, Goessel, hit a deer at 8:40 p.m. July 18 with her 2004 Buick LeSabre, which sustained damage characterized as minor to its left front, according to a report released Thursday.

US-50 east of Yarrow Rd.

A stolen 2021 GMC Acadia, westbound on US-50 at 5:50 a.m. July 20, drifted into the eastbound lane and collided with a 2014 Volvo VML semi-trailer tractor, the driver of which veered to try to avoid collision.

Both vehicles ended up off the road — the car to the right and the semi to the left.

The Acadia’s driver fled on foot before a sheriff’s deputy arrived but was described by the driver of the semi.

The Acadia, owned by Alysia R. Mendoza of Topeka, sustained disabling damage to its front, hood, windshield, and entire right side. It was towed.

The semi, owned by Gdansk Transportation and driven by Michal A. Glaba, both of Woodbridge, New Jersey, also was towed with disabling damage to its right rear.

Minutes after the accident, Terry Washington, 41, Oakland, Tennessee, was unable to avoid debris from the wreck and damaged the undercarriage of his 2023 Freightliner Sprinter, owned by K&B Transportation of South Sioux City, Nebraska.

It also was towed.

Johnathan C. Prebble, 21, rural Lincolnville, hit a deer at 12:50 a.m. July 22 with his 2014 Subaru Legacy.

The car, also carrying Chandler A. Evans, 21, McPherson, and Skylar C. Rose, 26, of the same rural Lincolnville address, sustained damage characterized as minor to its right front.

Avery K. Kalua, 14, Hillsboro, was a passenger in Bartel’s car, which sustained damage characterized as minor.

According to officer John Huebert’s report, no new damage was done to the already extensively damaged truck, owned by Donald W. Leonard Jr. of Hillsboro.
