NEW JAILINGS

Robert E. Billsten, 57, Hillsboro, jailed Monday for allegedly violating his probation. Bond not set. Previous jailed five times for a total of all or part of 19 days between May 27, 2023, and March 25, 2024. Previous jailings were on suspicion of possessing stimulants, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia and driving without liability insurance; for being in contempt of court; for failing to appear in court twice; and for allegedly violating his probation three times.

Joshua A. Bradley, 41, Downs, jailed Thursday for allegedly violating his probation. Held in lieu of posting a $15,000 bond. Previously jailed five times for a total of all or part of 83 days between June 21, 2022, and Dec. 6, 2025. Previous jailings were on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, having no drug tax stamp, speeding, and failing to have vehicle liability insurance; for failing to appear in court; for allegedly violating his probation; and on court orders twice.

Joshua R. Cafferty, 39, St. Cloud, Minnesota, arrested Sunday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of possessing stimulants, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia and transporting an open container of alcohol. Held in lieu of posting a $50,000 bond.

Justin L. Chrisjohn, 49, Marion, arrested Thursday by Marion police on suspicion of making an aggravated criminal threat. Released 20½ hours later without bond. Previously jailed seven times for a total of all or part of 98 days between Jan. 26, 2018, and Oct. 10, 2024. Previous jailings were for contempt of court; on court orders three times; on suspicion of domestic battery twice and aggravated domestic battery once; for failing to appear in court; and for allegedly violating his probation.

Charles T. Englert, 18, Peabody, arrested Thursday by Peabody police and held for a court appearance in lieu of posting a $15,000 bond.

James L. Findley, 46, Peabody, jailed July 28 on suspicion of domestic battery, violating an order of protection, interfering with law enforcement, and criminal damage to property; for allegedly violating his probation; and for failing to appear in court twice. Released three days later after posting $5,000 in bonds and $500 cash bail. Previously jailed nine times for a total of all or part of 97 days between Feb. 2, 2018, and June 8, 2026. Previous jailings were on an unspecified warrant; for failing to appear in court seven times; and on suspicion of domestic battery, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, and interfering with law enforcement.

Travis W. Gaston, 56, Peabody, jailed July 28 for failing to appear in court. Released seven hours later after posting a $5,000 bond. Previously jailed July 10 to 13 on suspicion of possessing stolen property, driving an unregistered vehicle, unsafe turning or stopping, and driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked.

Kimberley D. Gomez, 23, Kansas City, Missouri, arrested Thursday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of driving without a valid license and without liability insurance, transporting an open container of alcohol, reckless driving, and refusing to submit to a breath or salvia test for alcohol. Released six hours later after posting a $1,000 bond.

Eric M. Hale, 39, Hillsboro, arrested Monday by Hillsboro police for failing to appear in court. Held in lieu of posting at $1,750 bond. Previously jailed Oct. 21 and 22, 2025, on suspicion of transporting an open container of alcohol, driving without a required anti-drinking interlock, violating vehicle registration laws, and driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked; Nov. 18 and 19, 2025, for allegedly violating his probation; and May 1, 2026, for failing to appear in court.

Ryan D. Howser, 40, Wichita, arrested July 29 by Hillsboro police on suspicion of distributing a controlled substance, possessing drug paraphernalia, and interfering with law enforcement. Held in lieu of posting a $100,000 bond.

Michael F. Register, 25, Marion, arrested Monday by Hillsboro police on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving an improperly registered vehicle without liability insurance. Held in lieu of posting a $2,000 bond. Previously jailed March 19, 2025, for failing to appear in court and March 11 to 19, 2026, on suspicion of making a criminal threat and assaulting a law enforcement officer.

Michelle L. Stevens, 39, Peabody, arrested Monday by Peabody police on suspicion of burglary and felony theft. Bond not set. Previously jailed four times for a total of all or part of six days between July 11, 2022, and April 7, 2026. Previous jailings were on suspicion of distributing depressants; possessing marijuana twice, drug paraphernalia once, another controlled substance twice, and stimulants once; illegally obtaining a prescription drug; and disorderly conduct, for allegedly violating her probation, for failing to appear in court, and for being in contempt of court.

Lisa M. Vontress, 43, Wichita, jailed July 29 for allegedly violating her probation. Released 19 hours later after posting a $5,000 bond.
