County sets fireworks times
Times for the sale and shooting of fireworks outside of city limits in Marion County were approved Monday by county commissions.
Fireworks may be sold and shot:
- June 27 — 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- June 28 to July 1 — 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- July 2 and 3 — 8 a.m. to midnight
- July 4 — 9 a.m. to midnight
- July 5 — 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Commissioners also met for 10 minutes behind closed doors to discuss hiring a county appraiser.
The also met twice, for 30 minutes each time, behind closed doors to discuss undisclosed personnel performance issues.
