Deadline for alumni banquet approaches

Reservations for Florence’s annual alumni banquet, one of the oldest such traditions in Kansas, are due May 13.

The banquet — an annual institution for a century and a quarter — is planned for 1 p.m. May 27 at Florence Gymnasium. It will follow a business meeting at noon.

All alumni of Florence and Marion-Florence schools are invited along with their guests, teachers, and former classmates.

Reservations cost $22 per person. Checks should be made payable to Florence Alumni Association and mailed to Florence Alumni Association, 6240 W 155th St, Overland Park KS 66223.
