Goessel facilities get facelift

Goessel fans may notice some improvements in sports facilities when they attend home games this fall.

The Goessel track has received general maintenance to its rubberized surface and new lines painted on the track.

The high school gymnasium had maintenance work done on its floor.

Volleyball practice schedules had to be adjusted so high school and junior high players could share a gym, head coach Crysta Guhr said.

The Goessel High School volleyball team traveled Tuesday to Stafford for a volleyball jamboree with Stafford, Argonia and Pratt Skyline. Goessel will begins the regular season with matches Tuesday at Lebo and Sept. 5 at Marion.
