Ivy Unruh

A celebration of life for Ivy Nicole Unruh, 25, who was shot April 17, 2026, outside her apartment in Wichita, will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 25, 2026, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Marion.

A graveside service with military rites will be an hour before the service at Marion Cemetery. An additional service with military rites will be scheduled later at Fort Huachuca Post Cemetery, Sierra Vista, Arizona.

She passed away April 18, 2026, at Wesley Medical Center after an Honor Walk and organ donation.

Born Dec. 6, 2000, in Tucson, Arizona, to Amie Unruh and Matthew Jellison, she proudly served her country with the U.S. Marine Corps, attaining the rank of sergeant and worked for KPTS as a broadcast engineer.

Ivy is lovingly survived by her mother, Amie Unruh of Marion; her father, Matthew Jellison of Tucson; her step-sister, Alisha Harley-Babich of Tucson; her step-brother, Thomas Perry of Marion; and her loving extended family of cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends, who will remember her always.
